Auto Accidents*
* No fee until benefits are recovered - certain charges
for expenses may apply.
Pennsylvania motorists' claims are governed by the provisions
of the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility Act known as
the "Pennsylvania No-Fault Act". Under this statute, an injured
party's medical payments and wage loss benefits are paid contractually
by the insured's automobile insurance company.
With "Limited Tort" coverage, an individual must
sustain a serious bodily injury in order to pursue a claim for injuries
and pain and suffering. With "Full Tort" coverage, an individual
can pursue a claim for pain and suffering and other damages without regard
to the seriousness of the injuries sustained. Also, in cases where the
other party may have inadequate insurance coverage or no coverage at all,
a person may file an "Underinsured Motorist Claim" or "Uninsured
Motorist Claim" against his or her own automobile insurance company
to recover damages for injuries. In all cases, if you are involved in
an automobile accident, contact an attorney as soon as it is convenient
so that your rights under applicable Pennsylvania Law are protected. We
at the Chunko Law Firm will help you if you are injured in an automobile
accident or for other personal injury claims.
