Various occupational claims for lung diseases such as coal-workers' pneumoconiosis, silicosis, anthracosilicosis and asbestosis and other diseases are compensable under the Pennsylvania Workers Compensation Act.

Additionally, certain occupational disease claims may be compensable under the Pennsylvania Occupational Disease Act.

These claims are known as "Black Lung" claims and there are both Federal and State laws which govern these claims.
